VITM Hanoi 2021 scheduled to begin from July 29

VOV.VN - The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM Hanoi 2021) will run between July 29 and August 1 following its postponement due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The event will run with the theme of "New normal - new opportunities" and is being held with the aim of helping the local tourism industry to overcome the current challenging period and to bounce back on its development track.

Travel firms will also have the chance to showcase various tourism products at the VITM Hanoi 2021. The event is anticipated to provide an opportunity for local travel firms to boost Business To Business (B2B) meetings in order to reboot domestic tourism activities following severe damage caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the course of VITM Hanoi 2021, the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) will hold VITA Awards in order to honour travel firms, hold meetings, offer incentives, run conferences and exhibitions, along with many seminars.

This comes after the Vietnam Tourism Association announced on April 28 that it plans to postpone the VITM Hanoi 2021 from May to June following complicated developments relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was then further delayed until July 29, with visitors needing to comply with the Health Ministry’s 5K message during the event, including Khau trang (face mask), Khu khuan (disinfection), Khoang cach (distance), Khong tu tap (no gathering), and Khai bao y te (health declaration).
