VITM 2026 to feature 450 domestic and international booths
VOV.VN - The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2026 will take place from April 9 to 12 at ICE Hanoi (International Centre for Exhibition) under the theme “Digital transformation and green growth – elevating Vietnam’s tourism”, and is expected to featur 450 domestic and international booths.
The Vietnam Tourism Association on March 23 introduced VITM 2026 at a briefing in Hanoi. In recent years, Vietnam’s tourism sector has gradually advanced green transformation, with a focus on environmentally friendly products and stronger corporate responsibility towards communities and society.
VITM 2025, themed “Developing green destinations, elevating Vietnam’s tourism,” helped spread the trend of building green destinations and laid the foundation for sustainable tourism development in Vietnam.
Building on this direction, VITM 2026 adopts digital transformation and green growth as its core themes, seeking to create new value for the tourism industry. The event will offer businesses access to modern technological solutions and smart tourism models, while providing an opportunity to introduce green and sustainable tourism products in line with global trends.
According to Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, VITM has, over decades, become a recognised brand and a meeting point for localities and businesses from various countries seeking opportunities, connections and market expansion.
A key activity of VITM 2026 is a business matching programme (B2B), scheduled for April 9 and reserved for participating enterprises.
Alongside this, the fair will host a range of tourism promotion activities, including business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) activities.
Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said the event is expected to feature around 450 booths, with the participation of domestic and international tourism promotion agencies, airlines, international tourism organisations and more than 600 tourism enterprises.
She added that about 15 countries and territories and 34 provinces and cities of Vietnam are set to take part in destination promotion, product introduction and partnership development. The fair is also expected to attract around 80,000 visitors and transactions, thereby creating a dynamic space for tourism promotion and market stimulus.
A series of conferences and thematic seminars will also be held to discuss tourism development trends in the digital era, green tourism models and technology applications in tourism management and business.
In addition, an award ceremony honouring outstanding organisations and individuals in the tourism sector in 2025 will be held as part of the event.
