At a press conference held on March 25, Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, deputy chairperson of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that this year the fair would have a new theme of developing green destination, introducing a new trend for Vietnam’s tourism industry that is responsible tourism linked to environmental conservation for sustainable development.

Accordingly, VITM will introduce typical green destinations nationwide, along with diverse green tourism products to attract businesses and visitors.

Lan revealed that the fair will feature 450 booths from 60 domestic and international tourism promotion agencies, 8 airlines, 16 countries and territories, and over 600 businesses.

So far, there have been 1,228 appointments made on the VITM system. The Vietnam Tourism Association will showcase successful digital transformation initiatives, including applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in travel, hospitality, and tourism services.

There will be many Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) meetings taking place at the site.

A forum on developing green destination to elevate Vietnamese tourism will gather up to 300 representatives from State agencies, tourism experts, and enterprises.

Localities throughout the country such as Bac Giang, Quang Nam, and Ho Chi Minh City will all host various tourism promotion events within the framework of the travel mart.

VITM will host many distinctive art performances put on by art troupes from Malaysia, Taiwan (China), and Vietnam.

Thousands of visitors are expected to come to the fair in order to have many interesting experiences such as discounts on tours, air tickets, and tasting local One Commune One Product (OCOP) products from across the country.

Diverse promotional programmes launched at Hanoi travel fair
