Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 to be presented in late September
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 will be held in Hanoi on September 27 that coincides with World Tourism Day, carrying the global theme of “Tourism and Sustainability” launched by UN Tourism, according to a press briefing in Hanoi on September 22.

This year’s awards not only honour outstanding businesses, organisations, and training institutions, but also highlight tourism’s role as a driver of inclusive growth and environmental responsibility, said a representative of the Minitry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The awards are a prestigious recognition platform designed to elevate Vietnam’s tourism brand in the national economy and on the international stage. The 2025 edition is particularly significant as it marks the 65th anniversary of Vietnam’s tourism sector and the 20th year of the awards, returning after a 5-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nguyen Trung Khanh, head of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, underscored that all participating enterprises, regardless of size or business field, will be assessed on transparent, objective, and clearly defined criteria. The evaluation process integrates sustainable tourism practices into every award category, from environmental protection and energy saving to green tourism and community engagement.
Ha Van Sieu, deputy head of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, added that the awards are not only about recognition but also about fostering stronger partnerships between state management agencies, industry associations, businesses, training institutions, and the media. By doing so, the event will contribute to building a sustainable, world-class, and globally integrated tourism industry for Vietnam.
The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 will feature 11 categories, including Best Tour Operators, Best Hotels, Best Event Venues, Best Transport Services, Best Restaurants, Best Spas, Best Community-Based Tourism Destinations, Most Innovative Tourism Products, Best Golf Courses, Media Contributions to Tourism, and Best Tourism Training Institutions.
Vietnam’s tourism has shown an impressive rebound since the pandemic, with international arrivals in the first half of 2025 surging by 21% year on year. UN Tourism ranked Vietnam among the world’s fastest-growing tourism markets, while ASEAN recognised Vietnam as the most resilient destination in Southeast Asia, achieving 98% recovery compared to pre-pandemic levels.
Beyond recognising excellence, the awards also aim to encourage innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable practices across the tourism value chain. They are expected to stimulate investment in hospitality education, enhance professional standards, and promote Vietnam’s image as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination worldwide.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at Vin Palace Convention Centre in Hanoi and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV1), bringing nationwide attention to the country’s top-performing tourism enterprises and institutions.
