Vietnam International Travel Mart 2022 opens in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2022 kicked off in Hanoi capital on March 31, marking the reopening of the Vietnamese tourism sector as the country moves into the new normal.

During the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet stressed that the travel mart is one of the most significant events aimed at accelerating the resumption of inbound and outbound international tourism activities.

VITM 2022 features approximately hundreds of booths and involves the participation of 500 travel firms from 52 cities and provinces nationwide and six foreign countries and territories.

It is expected to welcome roughly 40,000 visitors and over 2,000 visiting firms.

The even set to run through to April 3, will see travel and aviation firms give special offers on over 10,000 tours and 100,000 air tickets, while also giving 1,000 gifts to visitors in an effort to encourage travel activities and push tourism recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.
