Vietnam Airlines to add nearly 550 flights for lunar New Year holiday

VOV.VN - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines is set to put on an additional 550 flights to serve people’s increased travel demand during the peak season of the Lunar New Year.

The carrier stated in its latest announcement that it will run an additional 550 flights from January 25 to February 24 on domestic routes which have strong air travel demand.

It will add seats on flights connecting Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City with popular destinations such as Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Can Tho, Phu Yen, Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc.

Passengers are advised to book tickets early to enjoy guaranteed flight availability and pay attention to the baggage allowance on flights. They are also advised to book tickets via the group’s official channels such as websites or ticket agents, and ask for an invoice to avoid buying fake or overpriced tickets.

In order to save time, passengers should carry out check-ins in advance through telephone, online, mobile applications, or Do-It-Yourself kiosks at airports.

The lunar New Year holiday is the largest festival in Vietnam every year. People working in big cities often choose to travel to their homes to happily stay together with their relatives during the festival that falls from February 8 to February 14, 2024.
