Ticket sales suspended in Hoi An ancient town during Tet

VOV.VN -Ticket sales and guided tour services in Hoi An ancient town in the central city of Da Nang will be suspended from February 16 to February 19 during the 2026 Lunar New Year of the Horse, according to the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation.

Despite the pause in ticketing and guided services, privately owned and community-managed heritage sites along the regular sightseeing routes will remain open for traditional rituals and early-year religious practices. Visitors to Hoi An during this period will therefore still be able to enter and experience these sites.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, Hoi An will host a range of cultural activities, including the Cam Ha kumquat festival, a traditional New Year tree contest and a recreated old-style Tet market. The programme also features live demonstrations of traditional cake- and candied-fruit making, tea tasting, calligraphy writing, lantern making, mask painting, local cuisine experiences and folk games.

On New Year’s Eve, the ancient town will stage a traditional spring blessing procession through its streets, followed by a high-altitude fireworks display marking the turn of the new year.
