Seminar promotes Vietnamese tourism in New Delhi
VOV.VN - A tourism promotion seminar "Vietnam- New Horizons" was held in New Delhi by the Embassy of Vietnam in India in coordination with Vietravel Tourism Company, attracting the participation of travel enterprises and Indian tourism partners.
Phu Quoc Island and the central city of Da Nang are currently the two most favored destinations for Indian tourists visiting Vietnam. However, there is still huge potential for Vietnam's tourism growth in this market, particularly in high-end resort services and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism.
Vietnam’s appeal was reflected in the first-hands experiences of tourism professionals in India. Ashok Singhal, a tourism expert in New Delhi, said that over the past 14 years, Vietnam has been one of his favorite destinations. During his 15-day trip across Vietnam, he explored many famous landmarks from North to South.
According to Singhal, beautiful natural landscapes, friendly people, rich cuisine, and convenient travel are key factors creating a special impression of Vietnam.
These experiences have also enabled Singhal to confidently recommend Vietnam to his partners and clients in India. With long-standing experience in the travel industry, he considers Vietnam one of his top favorite destinations, highlighting its fascinating attractions, hospitable residents, convenient transport, safety, rich cuisine, and stunning natural landscapes.
According to Indian travel companies, tourists from India currently select Phu Quoc and Da Nang as their top two preferred destinations in Vietnam. The growing demand among Indians to travel to Vietnam opens up opportunities for tourism businesses from both countries.
Capitalizing on these trends, Vietravel introduced a range of new tourism products designed for Indian visitors at the "Vietnam- New Horizons" seminar in New Delhi, spanning cultural and heritage exploration, leisure resorts, and event-integrated travel. Alongside the two established favorites, numerous other destinations across Vietnam were also promoted.
In particular, the company launched package MICE tourism solutions, including the organization of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, incentive trips, team-building activities, and gala dinners, along with accommodation, transport, dining, and entertainment services designed according to the specific needs of each group.
Combining multiple types of experiences within a single itinerary is expected to meet the diverse demands of Indian guests while providing additional options for businesses seeking to organize combined conference holidays and employee incentive programs.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Trinh Minh Manh emphasized that tourism is becoming an increasingly prominent area of cooperation in Vietnam-India relations. According to the Ambassador, alongside economic benefits, tourist exchanges contribute to strengthening people-to-people ties, deepeining cultural understanding, and consolidating friendship between the two countries.
The Ambassador noted that air connectivity between Vietnam and India is expanding, creating more favorable conditions for citizens of both countries to travel and explore each other's destinations. He also called on travel operators from both sides to enhance linkages and develop products in line with tourist preferences.
The Vietnam tourism promotion seminar took place as part of activities celebrating the 81st anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, heading toward the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic relations in 2027.
Combining destination promotion with direct business connectivity is expected to help turn the interest of Indian tourists into concrete travel programs, thereby better tap cooperation potential and make tourism a practical bridge between both nations’ people.
