Seaplane helps reduce travel time on Da Nang-Hue route to 40 minutes

The new air route will help to reduce travel time from 2 hours to 40 minutes between Da Nang and Hue.

The new air route is being put into operation by Hai Au Aviation Joint Stock Company and will hold two flights per day, the first departing from Da Nang at 9:00 and the second departing from Hue at 13:00.

The company is using the Cessna Grand Caravan 208B-EX aircraft for the new route, with each trip able to accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers.

The price of a one-way ticket is VND3.6 million for each passenger with this price set to apply until September 30.

Additionally, visitors will have the option of selecting a 30-minute tour by seaplane in which they can savour the scenic views of Da Nang and Hue. Passengers will be able to witness notable landmarks such as Son Tra peninsula, Han River, Ngu Hanh Son which is also known as Marble Mountain, Hue Imperial Citadel, and Tam Giang lagoon at a price of VND2 million per passenger.

Ngo Quang Vinh, director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, said the new route will provide visitors with an exciting experience on the Central Heritage Road.

Aside from daily flights between Hanoi-Ha Long, Da Nang-Hue, Hai Au Aviation Joint Stock Company has also offered seaplane charter services to more than 20 other destinations across Vietnam.

In May, the company will open a Da Nang-Dong Hoi air route in the central province of Quang Binh.
