Phu Quoc set to attract Eastern European tourists with new charter flights
VOV.VN - Phu Quoc Island, dubbed Pearl Island in An Giang province, southern Vietnam, is preparing to welcome a wave of Eastern European tourists through a new series of direct charter flights from Bucharest (Romania) and Chisinau (Moldova), starting mid-December 2025.
According to Join UP!, the company operating the flights, charter flights from Bucharest will begin on December 14, 2025, and run every 10 days until January 15, 2026. Meanwhile, charter flights from Chisinau will commence on December 19, 2025, continuing until mid-March 2026, with approximately 18 flights scheduled in total.
Join UP!’s Vietnam Destination Director Gamzat Aliev told VOV reporter that the company is committed to building even stronger flight programnes to position Phu Quoc as one of the leading Asian destinations.
“With the right support and stable development on the island, we can create year-round demand and long-term success for Vietnam in the Eastern European market. If Phu Quoc continues to sustain competitive costs and invests in infrastructure over the next few years, the island will attract an even stronger and more consistent tourist flow from Eastern Europe”, said Gamzat Aliev.
“Stability in pricing and development is the key to sustainable growth”, he stressed.
In Phu Quoc, package tours for Eastern European travelers typically span 10 nights, blending luxury stays at high-end hotels and resorts with visits to iconic attractions. Guest itineraries often include highlights such as VinWonders theme park, the Hon Thom cable car, the “Kiss of the Sea” show, and cultural experiences at the local night market.
