International KOLs join famtrip to survey Khanh Hoa tourism
VOV.VN - As part of its 2026 destination promotion programme, the Khanh Hoa Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial Tourism Association and Cam Ranh International Terminal JSC (CRTC) to host a famtrip delegation from Scoot Air (Singapore) to survey local destinations and tourism products.
The programme took place from February 2 to 6, bringing together key opinion leaders (KOLs) from Singapore, Malaysia and Australia to review representative tourism offerings and the province’s tourism and resort service ecosystem. During the five-day, four-night itinerary, the delegation visited major cultural and tourism sites, including the Po Nagar Cham Towers, and resort facilities in Nha Trang, along with selected local ecological attractions.
Truong Van Tien, Director of the Khanh Hoa Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, said Scoot Air’s launch of flights and its coordination in organising the famtrip reflect the province’s growing appeal to international visitors.
In 2025, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 16.4 million visitors, including 5.6 million international arrivals, up 15% from 2024. He expressed hope that the KOLs would help convey the image of Khanh Hoa as a “civilised, friendly and safe” destination to overseas markets.
Sharing the view, Nguyen Ngoc Son, Deputy General Director of CRTC, said the countries represented by the KOL delegation are key target markets for Cam Ranh International Airport. The delegation’s presence on digital platforms is expected to contribute to stimulating international travel demand to Khanh Hoa.
Representing Scoot Air, Genevieve said the trip provided a comprehensive overview of Khanh Hoa, noting the diversity of tourism products and service quality. She said this would support the airline’s efforts to promote the destination and develop tour routes suited to the Singaporean and international markets.
According to statistics, by the end of 2025, Khanh Hoa received nearly 14.9 million visitors, including over 4.69 million international arrivals, with Singapore recording positive growth. Scoot Air currently operates direct Singapore-Cam Ranh flights at a frequency of two services per week, with plans to increase to five weekly flights in the first quarter of 2026, thereby creating additional opportunities to attract international visitors to the province.
