From February 9–13, an Indian billionaire couple transformed Quang Ninh into a five-day celebration venue, culminating in their official ceremony on February 12 at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Ha Long.

The wedding ceremony featured numerous events staged as a grand artistic celebration, where traditional culture blends with modern technology, 3D mapping, and the majestic setting of the heritage site of Ha Long Bay.

The event followed another similar wedding held at the same resort from February 3–6, attracting approximately 400 guests, mostly businesspeople and entrepreneurs.

Notably, this was the third wedding of Indian billionaires held in Quang Ninh in just the first 15 days of February 2026.

According to local authorities, each wedding was estimated to cost approximately US$3 million, covering event production, guest transportation, décor, catering and logistics. Many ingredients were flown directly from India, while support teams numbered up to 600 personnel.

The consecutive selection of Quang Ninh by ultra-high-net-worth Indian families reflects the effectiveness of the province’s strategic efforts to develop the wedding tourism segment in a professional and experience-driven manner.

Beyond luxury resort ceremonies, guests were offered curated activities including cruises across Ha Long Bay and immersive cave performances, showcasing a diverse ecosystem of high-end tourism products.

With world-class hospitality infrastructure, iconic heritage landscapes and coordinated local government support, Quang Ninh is steadily positioning itself as one of Vietnam’s leading destinations for luxury and destination weddings.

India is globally known for its extravagant, multi-day weddings that often involve hundreds of guests, bespoke décor, curated culinary experiences and elaborate cultural rituals. In recent years, wealthy Indian families have increasingly opted to host such celebrations abroad, turning destination weddings into a booming international market.

Destinations in Vietnam have been chosen thanks to its iconic natural backdrops, competitive luxury hospitality costs, expanding air connectivity, professional event management and government support.
