Hanoi sees international arrivals jump more than 25% in 11 months
VOV.VN - Hanoi welcomed 7.09 million international visitors in the first 11 months of 2025, up 25.2% from a year earlier, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has reported.
In November alone, the capital received 2.5 million visitors, an increase of 14.7% year-on-year. International travelers reached 851,100, up 25%, including 600,000 overnight guests. Domestic tourism was estimated at 1.65 million, up 10%.
During the 11-month period, the city recorded 30.94 million visitors, up 22.1% from 2024. International arrivals included 5 million overnight visitors, while domestic tourism totaled 23.84 million, up 21.3%. Tourism revenue was estimated at VND 120.6 trillion, up 20.7%.
Average hotel occupancy stood at 73.4%. Hanoi now has 3,761 lodging facilities with more than 71,000 rooms, including 85 hotels rated from one to five stars. The city’s network of 58 certified establishments for dining, shopping, entertainment, and wellness services continues to expand.
In December, Hanoi will roll out a series of large-scale promotion programs, including the 2025 Hanoi Craft Village Cuisine and Tourism Festival. The city is also developing agricultural and rural tourism products, night-time offerings, golf tourism, and community-based experiences tied to ethnic minority cultural heritage. Authorities will submit to the municipal People’s Committee a proposal on renewing the management model and conservation approach for the Huong Son national special relic and scenic complex.
The capital targets 31 million visitors in 2025, including 7.5 million international arrivals, with projected tourism revenue of VND 130 trillion.
