Hanoi launches second open top bus tour

VOV.VN - The second double-decker bus tour named Thang Long-Hanoi City Tour was launched in Hanoi on November 30.

Tickets cost VND219,000 for a four-hour tour, VND329,000 for 24 hours and VND479,000 for 48 hours.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Deputy Director General of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Ha Van Sieu emphasized that this is a new and unique tourism product, offering a wide range of options for local and foreign visitors to explore the capital city of Hanoi.

The bus arrives every 30 minutes and runs through 11 relic sites in Hanoi. Each bus is worth VND6 billion (US$258,000) and has a total capacity for 80 passengers. It is also equipped with free wifi, refrigerators, TVs and surveillance cameras.

 The open top bus follows the Euro 4 emission standards and has an automatic multi-lingual narration system to suit the needs of tourists from around the world.

As an opening promotion, from November 30 to December 2, Thang Long-Hanoi City tour open top bus will serve local and foreign tourists completely free of charge.

Earlier this year on May 30, Hanoi opened the first double-decker bus tour named City Tour, which runs through 25 streets and takes tourists to a total of 30 destinations around the city. Customers are given the chance to hop-on and hop-off at 13 stops.   

Tickets cost VND650,000 for 48 hours, VND450,000 for 24 hours, VND300,000 for four-hour tour and VND196,000 for a two-hour tour.
