Hanoi launches 2026 tourism season with “Get on Hanoi 2026”

VOV.VN - Hanoi will officially launch its 2026 tourism season with the programme “Get on Hanoi 2026”, scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 1, 2026, at the West Lake Creative Cultural Space, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

The programme is held under the direction of the Hanoi People’s Committee and jointly organised by the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the People’s Committee of Tay Ho Ward, with coordination from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai Province and relevant agencies.

The event serves as an important opening activity, advancing the city’s major policies on developing tourism as a spearhead economic sector, while responding to the National Tourism Year 2026 – Gia Lai.

Held under the theme “Get on Hanoi 2026-A Green Journey”, the programme underscores Hanoi’s tourism development orientation toward nature conservation, cultural heritage preservation and sustainable growth.

A key highlight is the opening ceremony and the official activation of Get on Hanoi 2026, combined with the announcement of more than 80 representative tourism products for 2026 and the recognition of three new tourist sites: the Hanoi Botanical Garden, Thiet Ung fine woodcraft village, and Thuy Lam tourist site in Dong Anh District.

Throughout the programme, a series of cultural and tourism activities will be organised to introduce emerging tourism trends of the capital, including eco-tourism, craft village tourism, cultural and heritage tourism, creative tourism, community-based tourism and green tourism. Experience-based activities, artistic performances, tourism promotion and creative spaces are designed to enhance interaction and strengthen connections between the community and visitors.

Notable thematic events include “Tet Mong in the City 2026”, recreating the traditional Lunar New Year atmosphere of the Mong ethnic community in the heart of the capital, and “Gia Lai Tourism Day in Hanoi”, which showcases Gia Lai’s tourism potential and the National Tourism Year 2026- Gia Lai, contributing to stronger regional linkages and destination promotion.

“Get on Hanoi 2026” is not only an opening event for the capital’s new tourism season, but also a milestone affirming Hanoi’s vision and determination to develop green, sustainable and responsible tourism. Through a string of activities rich in cultural identity and connectivity, the programme helps promote Hanoi as a safe, friendly, high-quality and attractive destination in the context of international integration.
