Hanoi honoured as World’s Best Golf City Destination 2023
VOV.VN - The capital of Hanoi has been awarded the World’s Best Golf City Destination 2023 prize for the first time at the 10th World Golf Awards recently held in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Hanoi boasts an ideal geographical location, beautiful landscapes, traditional cuisine, and favourable weather conditions, all of which provide a good place to serve golf tour services all year round.
The city attracts golfers from major markets including the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States, and the Europe, that are considered potential visitors with a high spending habit and a long stay.
Hanoi now has 10 golf courses in operation which meet international standards such as Long Bien golf course, Van Tri Golf Club, Kings’ Island Golf, Minh Tri, and Legend Hill.
The World Golf Awards rewards excellence in golf tourism, world-class courses and golf destinations.
Launched in 2014, the awards aims to drive up standards within the golf tourism industry by rewarding the organisations that are leaders in their field.
Voting for the awards lasted from February to late September this year, with votes cast by golf professionals and golf tourism consumers.
Vietnam received the World’s and Asia's Best Golf Destination awards in both 2019 and 2021.
