According to Russia’s TASS, a representative of Azur Air said flights to Vietnam are continuing as scheduled, supported by long-term fuel supply contracts in Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc, with suppliers confirming they will ensure fuel supply throughout the planned operations.

Azur Air is currently operating flights from several Russian cities to Nha Trang, expected to run until the May holiday period in 2026, while services to Phu Quoc are scheduled through April 2026. Other carriers, including Vietjet Air, Red Wings Airlines and Ikar Airlines, also plan to operate flights bringing Russian tourists to Vietnam in 2026.

A representative of Anex Vietnam Travel and Trading Co., Ltd. said the company served nearly 40,000 visitors from Russia and CIS countries to Phu Quoc between October 2025 and April 2026. From April 2026, the company is poised to expand charter flights from Russia and CIS markets to Da Nang, alongside its traditional destinations of Nha Trang and Phu Quoc.

Travel company PEGAS Touristik is also planning a flight programme from Russia to Phu Quoc from October 2026 to April 2027. According to Pegas Misr Vietnam, the company served about 100,000 Russian and CIS visitors in 2025, up markedly from 2024.

Russia is one of Vietnam’s key source markets. In 2025, arrivals from Russia reached nearly 690,000, rising sharply from the previous year and exceeding pre-pandemic levels. Growth continued in the first two months of 2026, with nearly 247,000 arrivals, the highest increase among foreign markets.

The increase in Russian visitors, along with longer stays, has contributed to tourism and services in destinations such as Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and Da Nang.
