Explora Luxury Day Cruise officially launches in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

VOV.VN - From May 12, 2026, Explora by Grand Pioneers Cruises officially launches luxury day journeys in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, expanding the brand’s green cruise ecosystem in one of the world’s most iconic natural heritage sites.

Designed exclusively for day journeys exploring the heritage bay, Explora offers guests closer access to the core landscapes of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay through the “Legacy Journey” itinerary pioneered by Grand Pioneers Cruises.

Departing from the Titov area, the cruise passes a series of iconic limestone formations including Dau Nguoi Islet, Yen Ngua Islet, Rong Islet, and Con Voi Islet. Throughout the journey, guests can also enjoy immersive activities such as exploring Thien Canh Son Cave, visiting Vung Vieng fishing village, kayaking, or taking a traditional bamboo boat ride amidst the heritage landscape.

Beyond a sightseeing experience, Explora is designed to offer a more complete perspective of the natural heritage, where the geological and geomorphological values of Ha Long Bay, formed over hundreds of millions of years, are revealed through each layer of the dramatic seascape. The itinerary also embraces a slower and more relaxed rhythm, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the bay.

Explora is developed as a luxury day cruise with a three-deck layout inspired by contemporary hospitality design. The vessel features a restaurant, a relaxation lounge, and an open sundeck. Spatial arrangements throughout the cruise prioritize privacy, comfort, and uninterrupted views of the bay during the journey.

Another highlight of the experience lies in the culinary offering inspired by the coastal cuisine of Northern Vietnam. Dishes combine locally sourced ingredients with refined culinary techniques by the onboard culinary team, served within an open setting amidst the bay to create a dining experience deeply connected to the local heritage.

In addition to its hospitality experience, Explora also meets VR-SB standards - the highest safety certification for coastal waterway vessels in Vietnam, reaffirming Grand Pioneers Cruises’ commitment to safe operational standards.

“We expect Explora to introduce a new option for day experiences in the bay, where guests can not only explore the destination, but also fully enjoy the scenery, atmosphere, and rhythm of the heritage in a more complete and sustainable way,” Luong The Tuyen, Deputy Director of Viet Thuan Transport Co., Ltd., shared.
