EVA Air plans to launch direct route connecting Taiwan with Khanh Hoa
VOV.VN - EVA Air of Taiwan (China) is exploring the possibility of launching direct flights to Cam Ranh International Airport as it looks to expand travel links with Khanh Hoa, a coastal province known for its tourism appeal.
The idea was raised at a route-introduction and tourism cooperation event held in Nha Trang on October 22.
In his remarks, Wu Xiangguang, EVA Air’s Sales Director in Vietnam, highly valued Khanh Hoa’s tourism potential, and said EVA Air plans to work with major travel agencies from Taiwan to organise a familiarisation trip to Khanh Hoa to assess the province’s tourism offerings.
The airline began operating flights to Vietnam in 1992. It currently operates direct services from Taipei to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang, with a combined frequency of six flights a day.
EVA Air deploys wide-body aircraft, including the Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 787-10, and reports a seat occupancy rate of more than 80%. Beyond passengers from Taiwan, its international network enables travellers from other markets to reach Vietnam via its Taipei hub.
As of October 1, 2026, EVA Air’s network covered 66 destinations across the Americas, Europe, Oceania and Asia. In North America, the airline operated 10 routes, with nearly 100 flights a week.
EVA Air is the second-largest airline in Taiwan, and has held a five-star rating from Skytrax since 2016. In 2025, it received 11 Skytrax awards, including first place in the World’s Cleanest Airline category.
