Accordingly, between 0 hrs and 10 a.m. (UTC time) or from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Vietnam time) on December 30, Vietnam Airlines’ flights to and from Taiwan and the Northeast Asian region are being diverted away from the restricted zones.

Flight time may be extended by 15 to 30 minutes compared to the scheduled time. Some flights may also face payload limitations, including reduced checked baggage or passenger numbers, due to the additional fuel required for longer routes.

Vietnam Airlines said it regrets any inconvenience caused and is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with relevant authorities to update flight operations and inform passengers as early as possible.

The carrier recommended that passengers travelling to or from Taiwan, or transiting Northeast Asia during this period, regularly check their flight status through official Vietnam Airlines channels.
