Direct Manila-Da Nang route set for four weekly flights from March
VOV.VN - The central city of Da Nang is poised to launch a direct air route linking Manila and the central Vietnamese city with a frequency of four flights per week from March, thereby strengthening connectivity with one of its faster-growing tourism markets.
From January 27 to 30, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organised a broad array of tourism promotion activities in the Philippines, coinciding with the city’s participation in the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) TRAVEX 2026 in Cebu, one of the region’s major tourism trade events.
During the programme, the Da Nang delegation held working sessions with around 25 partners in Manila, including representatives of tourism associations, airlines and travel companies.
AirAsia is expected to operate the direct Manila-Da Nang service from March with four weekly flights, providing additional momentum for visitor flows from the Philippine market.
The Philippines is one of Da Nang’s faster-growing source markets for tourism. In 2025, the city welcomed nearly 166,000 visitors from the Philippines, more than doubling year on year.
Direct air services between Manila and Da Nang are currently operated by Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Airlines.
