Da Nang unveils tourism stimulus programme series for 2026

VOV.VN - The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched a series of tourism stimulus programmes aimed at boosting visitor arrivals and strengthening the city’s destination appeal in 2026.

Under the overarching theme “Return to Origin – Touching the Essence,” the programme reaffirms Da Nang’s tourism development strategy of prioritising quality over quantity. The city seeks to place people, culture, and nature at the heart of tourism growth, fostering sustainable and distinctive experiences for visitors.

Speaking at an announcement event held recently, Tao Viet Hai, deputy director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, shared that in 2026 the city aims to welcome 19.1 million visitors in 2026, including 8.7 million international arrivals and 10.4 million domestic tourists.

Within the framework of the Happy Tet 2026 Festival, Da Nang’s tourism promotion programme held in Hanoi marked the official launch of a series of campaigns targeting northern domestic markets. Hanoi, he noted, has long been one of Da Nang’s most important source markets.

He added that beyond introducing new tourism products, incentive packages, and major events scheduled for 2026, the programme seeks to convey the message “Touching the Essence” - an invitation for visitors to reconnect more deeply with nature, local culture, and the people of Da Nang through immersive and emotionally engaging travel experiences.

The programme introduces five thematic journeys built around experiential touchpoints. These include Touching Heritage, where traditional craft villages share their stories; Touching Tranquillity, giving spaces for healing and inner balance; Touching the Pristine, highlighting nature-based connections; Touching the Moment, where festivals and events create lasting memories; and Touching the Palate, showcasing the distinctive cuisine of the Quang region. These initiatives are further supported by the “I Love Da Nang” promotional campaign.

In 2026, Da Nang will roll out more than 25,000 gifts and a wide range of high-value prizes, including airline tickets, tour packages, and combined accommodation–experience offers. All incentives are designed around real travel journeys, encouraging visitors to stay longer, explore more deeply and return more often.

Notably, 2026 will also mark the first time Da Nang introduces incentive mechanisms for travel content creators participating in the “Return to Origin” programmes. A variety of attractive awards will be given to encourage creative storytelling and wider promotion of the city’s tourism experiences.
