Cao Bang on Lonely Planet list of best places to visit in Southeast Asia

VOV.VN - World renowned travel guide Lonely Planet recently revealed its list of seven of the best places to visit in Southeast Asia, with Cao Bang in the northeastern region of Vietnam making the cut.

The Vietnamese representative boasts several of the most impressive natural sites in the country, ultimately ranking second on the overall list.

Lonely Planet also gave a brief introduction to Phat Tich Truc Lam, a temple located near the Chinese border which offers wonderful views over the region’s rolling hills.

The website also suggested tourists visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, which is one of the most magical waterfalls in Southeast Asia and the largest in Vietnam as it cascades over multiple tiers and can be visited on a boat trip or bamboo raft.

The site gives a true glimpse into rural Vietnamese culture. Cao Bang is also very safe and boasts great infrastructure for visitors, the travel guide shared.

Topping the list is Khao Sok National Park in Thailand which is the best place for animal lovers.

Siargao in the Philippines, Luang Prabang in Laos, Bali and the Gili Islands in Indonesia, and Penang in Malaysia compete the top 7.
