Azur Air and Aeroflot to open direct air routes to Cam Ranh

VOV.VN - Russian airlines Azur Air and Aeroflot have worked out plans to open direct air routes from Russia to the southcentral coastal province of Khanh Hoa, Russian media has revealed.

TASS quoted Evgeny Korolyov, CEO of Azur Air, on the sidelines of the NAIS exhibition as saying that the air carrier is going to start flights to Cam Ranh in March, with several Russian cities under consideration as  departure points.

Accordingly, Korolyov told TASS that the exact schedule is still being formulated.

“We are holding talks with tour operators and looking at a specific route network to be the most efficient and sought-after for tourists," said Korolyov.

Meanwhile, according to Interfax, Aeroflot has also planned to launch flights to Nha Trang city in Khanh Hoa at the end of March.

Flights are expected to depart from Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport twice a week.

Aeroflot CEO Sergei Aleksandrovsky told the Russian media agency that the airline currently operates flights three times per week, but only to Ho Chi Minh City.
