During their stay from August 5-7, the Australian KOLs visited many iconic tourist attractions in Hue, including the Imperial City, the Tombs of Kings Khai Dinh and Minh Mang, Thuy Xuan incense-making village, Thien Mu Pagoda, and Dong Ba Market. The delegation also explored the city on traditional cyclos, enjoyed a scenic cruise along the Perfume River, sampled local cuisine, and enjoyed a performance of Ca Hue – a traditional form of Hue royal chamber music.

According to the Hue Department of Tourism, this activity is part of the plan to welcome famous international KOLs, enabling them to directly experience and promote Hue’s destinations, tourism products, and culinary heritage.

These Famtrip programmes also serve as an opportunity to introduce new tourism services and highlight key events scheduled as part of National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 and Hue Festival 2025 to international tourists and travel businesses.

In addition to showcasing Hue’s tourism products, the programme aims to promote the city’s unique cultural identity and refined lifestyle to the world. It reinforces the image of Hue as an attractive, safe, friendly, and hospitable destination. With eight UNESCO-recognised tangible and intangible cultural heritages, a rich system of traditional festivals, centuries-old craft villages, poetic natural scenery, and a diverse culinary tradition blending royal and folk elements, Hue continues to assert its position as Vietnam’s “heritage capital.”

After the famtrip delegation of KOLs, the Hue Department of Tourism will continue to welcome similar delegations from Germany and the United States to explore local tourism in the near future.
