AirAsia launches new routes connecting Da Nang with Manila, Bali
VOV.VN - Da Nang hosted a ceremony on March 20 to welcome new direct flights operated by AirAsia from Manila (the Philippines) and Bali (Indonesia) to the central coastal city.
These two routes mark a significant step in expanding Da Nang’s international air connectivity with the Southeast Asian region.
At 6:15 p.m. on March 20, Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ480, carrying 180 passengers, departed from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali and landed at Da Nang International Airport, marking the first direct connection between Bali and Da Nang.
The Bali–Da Nang route operates four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Airbus A320 aircraft, enhancing connectivity between Da Nang and one of Southeast Asia’s leading tourist destinations.
Earlier the same day, at 3:20 p.m., Philippine AirAsia flight Z2824, also carrying 180 passengers, departed from Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila and arrived in Da Nang.
The Manila–Da Nang route is scheduled to operate four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Airbus A320 aircraft, contributing to stronger direct links between Da Nang and the Philippines, one of the region’s dynamic tourism markets.
The launch of these new routes is expected to further expand Da Nang’s international air network and boost tourism development. In addition to shortening travel time between Da Nang and key regional hubs, the routes are set to promote cultural exchange, trade, and tourism, while enhancing connectivity to potential markets such as Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Indonesia AirAsia to launch Bali-Da Nang route from March 20
VOV.VN - Low-cost carrier Indonesia AirAsia plans to open a new international route linking Denpasar in Bali with central Da Nang city in Vietnam from March 20, marking the airline’s seventh international service operating out of the island.
