Thai AirAsia to launch Bangkok-Luang Prabang-Hanoi route from December 1
VOV.VN - Thai AirAsia (flight code FD) has announced the launch of a new route connecting Bangkok (Thailand), Luang Prabang (Laos), and Hanoi (Vietnam), starting December 1, 2025.
The service will operate under fifth-freedom rights, allowing the airline to carry passengers between Laos and Vietnam as part of a route originating in Thailand.
The new route is expected to meet growing travel demand between the two popular destinations- Luang Prabang and Hanoi, thus offering Vietnamese travelers a convenient option to explore Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It will also make Hanoi more accessible for visitors from Laos.
To mark the launch, promotional fares start from VND 1,699,000 per one-way ticket, applicable for bookings made until September 7, 2025, for travel from December 1, 2025, to March 28, 2026. Tickets are available via the AirAsia MOVE app, the official website, and authorized agents.
Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, said this new route offers a convenient and affordable option for travelers from Hanoi and nearby provinces to visit Luang Prabang, while also enhancing connectivity for visitors from Laos to Vietnam. It further reaffirms AirAsia’s position as ASEAN’s true low-cost carrier, with an extensive network and international service standards.
