81% of Vietnamese travelers likely to use AI, highest in Asia

VOV.VN - 81% of Vietnamese travelers say they are likely to use artificial intelligence (AI) for their next trip, the highest rate in Asia and above the regional average of 63%, according to Agoda’s 2026 Travel Outlook Report.

Despite AI adoption still being at an early stage, sentiment remains largely positive. The report shows that 86% of Vietnamese travelers either trust AI-generated information or feel neutral about it, including 59% who hold a neutral view and 28% who actively trust AI. This openness indicates room for broader adoption as AI-powered travel tools become more accessible.

Vietnam’s ongoing digital transformation and expanding technology sector are accelerating AI use in daily life, from work and education to shopping and entertainment, and travel planning is no exception.

Among Vietnamese travelers already using AI, the most common applications include recommendations for attractions and activities, restaurant suggestions, personalised itinerary planning (30%), and real-time language translation (30%).
