2023 International Hot Air Balloon Festival kicks off in Quy Nhon
VOV.VN - The 2023 International Hot Air Balloon Festival officially opened on April 25 in Quy Nhon city in the central coastal province of Binh Dinh.
Visitors at the event had the opportunity to admire a large number of hot air balloons of various colours, sizes, and types. As part of the occasion, organisers have arranged a total of 10 hot air balloons of between 25 metres and 28 metese to serve visiting guests.
Tourists are expected to have the chance to fly with the pilot in order to experience the feeling of sitting on a hot air balloon whilst savouring the scenic views of Quy Nhon beach town.
With regards to the free hot air balloon ride, flights start from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. daily with each flight carrying two to three tourists at an altitude of between 300 metres to 500 metres for a distance of between 5km and 10km. The price for each flight stands at VND4 million.
With regard to low-hanging hot air balloons, flights begin from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily at an altitude of between 30 metres and 50 metres with the fare for each flight at VND200,000.
Tran Van Thanh, director of the Binh Dinh Department of Tourism, said the 2023 International Hot Air Balloon Festival offers an opportunity in which to stimulate tourism demand and attract more tourists to the coastal city of Quy Nhon.
The international hot air balloon festival is also part of activities for the upcoming Binh Dinh tourism festival which aims to revive the local tourism industry in the post-pandemic period.
The event will run through to May 5.
