Christmas presents favor Vietnamese products
VOV.VN - Streets that sell souvenirs for festivals like Hang Luoc, Hang Ma, and Luong Van Can are flooding with various kinds of Christmas and New Year gifts and decorations.
Prices of Christmas gifts and decorations have risen 10% to 20% this year. Good quality Vietnamese products dominate the market – reindeers, snow globes, wreaths, and jingle bells.
The most popular products are Christmas trees, pine cones, Santa Clauses, Queen Elsa from the movie “Frozen”, Santa Claus outfits, and princess gowns. Costumes for children made in Vietnam cost US$3 to US$7. A Santa Claus outfit consisting of red suit, hat, beard, and toy bag, costs about US$4.
Nguyen Thu Phuong, a shopper from Giang Vo street said, “I’m looking for a Christmas tree and decorations. This year, Vietnamese products are diverse and reasonably priced. We prefer Vietnamese products because they’re safe.”
Many customers take advantage of a Santa Claus gifting service. Having Santa Claus come to your house with gifts for your children will cost US$7 to US$12. Christmas decorating services are also booming.
Nguyen Van Binh, owner of a shop in Hang Ma, said “We sell Christmas items and provide decorating and Santa Claus gifting services. We offer trendy products and services to meet diverse demands. Our business has doubled in recent days and we expect to sell more in the coming days.”
