VOV.VN - Vietnam and India are moving to elevate security cooperation into a central pillar of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as both sides respond to an increasingly complex regional and global security environment.

The Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) on September 27 held their 5th annual dialogue in Hanoi, discussing key issues in the two countries’ relations in a new world order.

Ample room remains for Vietnam-India cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, tourism and renewable energy, Le Quang Bien, Consul General of Vietnam in Mumbai, has said.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang’s ongoing visit to India and his attendance at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit from January 9-12 hold significance to bilateral ties, underscoring Vietnam’s policy of treasuring its ties with India, said Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai.
