The Thai Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City joined hands with the Vietnamese Red Cross Society (VRCS)’s HCM City chapter and the Red Journey Programme to launch a humanitarian blood donation drive on July 20.

The 2023 Red Journey blood donation campaign has collected more than 115,000 units after two months, according to Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion Nguyen Ha Thanh.

VOV.VN - The 10th Red Journey, the largest blood donation drive in Vietnam organised by the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusions, kicked off on June 2 in the southernmost province of Ca Mau.

The National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation has set a goal to collect over 1.5 million blood units in 2021, with 99 percent of which donated by volunteers, according to Le Gia Tien, Director of the committee's Standing Office.
