Under Resolution No. 262/2025/QH15 approving the investment policy for the National Target Programme on health care, population and development for the 2026–2035 period, the National Assembly (NA) has decided to allocate a total of VND88.63 trillion (US$3.37 billion) for implementation in the 2026–2030 period.

Population quality is closely related to the level of the country’s socio-economic development, and it, therefore, must be the goal of the whole community and the country and is considered the “golden key” to open the door to sustainable development of the country, according to experts.
The Prime Minister recently approved the expansion of the prenatal and newborn screening, diagnosis, and treatment of some diseases and disorders by 2030 so as to help improve population quality.
