The 16th Party Congress of the northern port city of Hai Phong for the 2020-2025 tenure kicked off on October 14 with the participation of 350 official delegates.

Politburo member and Secretary of the 16th-tenure Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue was elected Secretary of this committee for the 17th tenure with 100% of the vote on October 13 morning.

Hanoi has completed preparations for the city’s 17th Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure, said Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dao Duc Toan at a press briefing on October 6.
