A conference reviewing 10 years of implementing the Directive of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in dealing with the consequences of toxic chemicals used by the US during the war in Vietnam was held in Hanoi on December 10 by the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA).

The 15th National Assembly (NA) on December 10 adopted several laws including the Cybersecurity Law, the amended Law on Protection of State Secrets, the law amending and supplementing certain provisions of 10 laws related to security and order.

An exhibition featuring more than 200 curated watercolour works from the 20-year artistic career of Polish-Vietnamese painter Minh Dam is currently on display at the Temple of Literature special relic site in Hanoi.

A ceremony marking the 50th National Day of Laos was held at the Permanent Mission of Laos to the United Nations in New York on December 9.
