VOV.VN - Traffic accidents killed a total of 1,436 people and injured 917 others in during the first three months of the year, marking decreases of 14.3% and 3.2% respectively against the same period from last year.

The Ministry of Transport on launched the Traffic Safety Year 2023, which aims to decrease the annual number of accidents, deaths, and injuries by five to 10%.

VOV.VN - During the recent four-day break marking Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers’ Day (May 1), a total of 55 people were killed and 84 were injured in 104 road accidents nationwide, according to statistics given by the National Committee for Traffic Safety.

Traffic safety was improved considerably nationwide in 2021 with sharp declines recorded in the number of accidents, deaths and injuries, reported the National Committee for Traffic Safety (NCTS).
