Ho Chi Minh City is preparing to pilot low-emission zones (LEZ) in the central area, Can Gio, and Con Dao, a step that has drawn significant public attention as it directly affects health and quality of life while laying the groundwork for a citywide emissions control roadmap.

The Hanoi People’s Council on December 12 approved a resolution to establish low-emission zones in the capital city.

Hanoi is moving forward with a plan to restrict polluting vehicles across 12 districts, along with some soon-to-be-upgraded districts and two new cities, aiming to improve air quality and reduce congestion.
