Despite difficulties in the first five months of this year, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) managed to increase its production, contributing to ensuring national energy security.

Vietnam’s consumer price index (CPI) in the first five months of the year edged up 2.25% year-on-year while core inflation rose by 1.1%, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

As many as 4,733 traffic accidents occurred nationwide killing 2,761 people and injured 3,078 others in five months between December 15, 2021 and May 14, 2022, the Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee said on May 24.

As many as 5,182 traffic accidents were reported in five months from December 15, 2020 to May 14, claiming 2,656 lives and injuring 3,788 people, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
