VOV.VN - While a number of multilateral institutions globally continue to face various difficulties and challenges, co-operation in defence and security between ASEAN and its partners continues to represent a bright spot.

VOV.VN - Maintaining peace and stability in the East Sea (internationally known as the South China Sea) is of primary concern for ASEAN and its partners at recent summits in Hanoi, according to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

Vietnam did a good job as the ASEAN Chair this year, and the more than 80 documents adopted at the 37th ASEAN Summit and related summits last week is a proof that the country has turned a crisis into an opportunity for success, the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Ambassador to the bloc Lim Sung-nam has said.

Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the East Asia Summit (EAS) has been growing robustly, serving as a forum for strategic dialogue and cooperation in matters regarding peace, security and prosperity in the region.

The ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Troika Open-ended Dialogue with Switzerland Trade Minister was held online on November 10 within the framework of the 37th ASEAN Summit and related meetings.
