State budget collection from export-import activities in January topped VND24.8 trillion (US$1.07 billion), or 5.8% of the estimate, down 42.3% annually, reported the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC).
Reducing the VAT (value added tax) by 2% has been the most practical solution to stimulate consumption and production.
Total State budget collection was estimated at over VND1,803 trillion (US$76.6 billion) in 2022, equivalent to 127.8% of the estimate, up 15% year on year, reported the Ministry of Finance (MoF) on January 3.
The 11-month state budget revenue is estimated at nearly VND1.64 quadrillion (US$67 billion), equivalent to 116.1% of the target and up 17.4% from a year earlier, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) announced on December 1.
Vietnam’s budget collection in the first 10 months of this year stood at VND1.46 quadrillion (US$58.7 billion), surpassing the estimate by 3.7%, and up 16.2% year-on-year, the Ministry of Finance reported.
Budget collection from import-export activities topped VND362.4 trillion (US$14.57 billion) in the first 10 months of this year, equivalent to 86.3% of the set target and up 14.6% year-on-year, according to the General Department of Customs.
The total State budget collection in the first eight months of this year has been estimated at VND1.2 quadrillion (US$51.3 billion), equivalent to 85.6% of the annual target, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Revenues of the State budget in the first six months of this year stood at about VND941.3 trillion (US$40.3 billion), equivalent to 66.7% of the yearly estimates, it was reported at the Finance Ministry’s review conference on July 7.
Total state budget collection in the first ten months of 2021 fulfilled about 90.9% of the estimate and was up 5.5% year-on-year, showed data released by the Ministry of Finance’s Department of State Budget.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is proposing a 30% reduction in the corporate income tax which enterprises must pay in 2021 in a draft resolution on budget collection solutions which is to be submitted to the National Assembly’s Standing Committee for approval.
