VOV.VN - Four bears kept in captivity for many years in Ho Chi Minh City have been successfully rescued and transferred to Hue as part of a coordinated wildlife conservation effort led by Animals Asia in cooperation with local forest rangers and Bach Ma National Park authorities.
A man in Yen Thanh district, the central province of Nghe An, has handed over an Asian black bear (Ursus thibetanus) to the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre at Bach Ma National Park in Hue city.
The first phase of the Bear Rescue Centre Vietnam's second branch at Bach Ma National Park was inaugurated on November 17 in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue by the Animals Asia Foundation (AAF) and the Forest Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
