VOV.VN - Many road users in Hanoi have been surprised by stiffer fines imposed for violations of traffic laws under a new Government decree that came into effect on January 1, 2025.

VOV.VN - Vietnam has promulgated the Law on Persons with Disabilities, along with a national programme in support of people with disabilities, as well as standards and regulations aimed at designing transportation infrastructure for this group of people. However, the implementation of these policies has so far failed to meet expectations.

Eighty-three traffic accidents happened in the three days of the New Year, killing 50 people and injuring 51 others, an increase of 29.7%, 31.6% and 45.7%, respectively, according to the Ministry of Public Security.

Sixty four traffic accidents took place nationwide during the three-day solar New Year holiday (January 1-3), causing 38 deaths, according to the Ministry of Public Security’s Traffic Police Department.
