VOV.VN - Hanoi authorities have announced an ambitious plan to comprehensively digitise the capital’s cultural heritage, as part of efforts to modernise cultural management and promote Vietnam’s cultural identity globally.

The Department of Survey, Mapping and Geographic Information Vietnam under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will complete and release an 1:1,000,000-scale administrative map of Vietnam online and in digital *.pdf format once the National Assembly’s Resolution on the reorganisation of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 takes effect.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism announced that it will focus on developing a digital mapping system for smart tourism in the city and digitalised data related to attractions and service facilities.

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) recently held a seminar regarding the digital address system, towards a goal of each family having one.
