VOV.VN - Vietnam’s coffee export prices have reached unprecedented levels, averaging US$5,726 per tonne in the first five months of this year, a 63.7% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
The average export price of Vietnamese coffee to the UK in the first half of 2024 reached US$3,941 per tonne, marking an increase of 68.4% year-on-year.
Vietnam shipped 1.61 million tonnes of coffee abroad in 2023, earning US$4.18 billion, down 9.6% in volume but up 3.1% in value year-on-year.
VOV.VN - The average price of Vietnam's exported coffee in July set a new record by being traded US$2,828 per tonne, growing by 5.4% against June, marking a rise of 23.4% over the same period from last year.
The Vietnam - UK Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) has substantially assisted Vietnam’s coffee sector to expand its market share in the UK, according to the Foreign Trade Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
Vietnam exported 428,000 tonnes of coffee worth US$771 million in the first quarter of 2021, down 17% in volume and 11.3% in value year on year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
