VOV.VN - The Minister of National Defence of Vietnam Phan Van Giang and his Chinese counterpart Dong Jun will meet at the border and co-chair the ninth Vietnam-China Border Defence Friendship Exchange in mid-April.

Working delegations from the Defence Ministries of Vietnam and Laos on October 21 held a rehearsal for the second Vietnam-Laos Border Defence Friendship Exchange in Moc Chau district, the northern province of Son La, and Sop Bao district, Laos’s Houaphanh province.

A number of activities were held as part of the eighth Vietnam – China border defence friendship exchange in China’s Yunnan province on April 12.

The eighth border defence friendship exchange between Vietnam and China is scheduled to take place in Vietnam’s northern province of Lao Cai and its neighbouring Chinese province of Yunnan on September 7 - 8.

Deputy Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San and his Lao counterpart Lieutenant General Vongkham Phommakone have agreed on the need for the two Ministries of National Defence to continue their comprehensive cooperation in the time ahead.

VOV.VN - General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defence of Vietnam, and Senior Lieutenant General Wei Fenghe, Minister of National Defence of China, co-hosted the seventh border defence friendship exchange on April 23.

VOV.VN - The first Vietnam-Laos border defence friendship exchange was held on December 12 in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province of Vietnam and Sepon district, Savannakhet province of Laos.

More than 100 Vietnamese and Lao military doctors provided health checkup for over 2,000 border residents of the two countries from December 5-8.
