The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Central Committee's Board for Cultural Affairs has announced that Vesak Celebrations 2026 will take place in Da Lat of Lam Dong province, featuring 15 experiential activities combining Buddhist rituals with cultural, artistic and community programmes.

The 20th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations (Vesak 2025), scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from May 6-8, emphasises the role of Buddhist principles in promoting peace and sustainable development globally, heard a press conference held by Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)'s Executive Council in Hanoi on April 22.

The 20th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations in Ho Chi Minh City from May 6-8 will feature a wide range of cultural, spiritual, and academic activities, according to Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, vice president and general secretary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council.

The United Nations Day of Vesak 2025 in Vietnam is expected to attract around 2,000 participants, including 1,000 international delegates from 80 countries.
