VOV.VN - Vietnam has reaffirmed its readiness to make active and practical contributions to international efforts to promote peace, support the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and advance the Middle East peace process.

Vietnam supports all initiatives to resolve conflicts and build peace based on the rule of law and in conformity with the United Nations (UN) Charter, Minister-Counsellor Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the UN, has affirmed.

VOV.VN - At the first plenary meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiations (IGN) process on reform of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), held within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on January 21, Vietnam stated its support for substantive reform with a view to enhancing the Council’s representativeness, effectiveness and efficiency.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung has highlighted Vietnam’s 2025 diplomatic achievements and their contributions to the country’s strategic goals in his article recently published to mark the New Year 2026.

VOV.VN - Vietnam has urged the UN Security Council, with its function of maintaining international peace and security, to pay more attention and resources to the settlement of cyberspace-related challenges and cyber security-related aspects in preventing conflicts, controlling terrorism, and protecting essential infrastructure.

Vietnam has once again condemned attacks targeting civilians and essential civilian infrastructure works in the Gaza Strip and called for a ceasefire and an immediate and unconditional release of hostages.
