Bright prospects are likely to be seen in foreign trade over the rest of this year thanks to the effective and comprehensive implementation of free trade agreements (FTAs) and rising prices for strong export products of Vietnam.

VOV.VN - The United States continued to represent the largest buyer of local goods during the first quarter of the year, with total export turnover raking in US$21.2 billion, representing a year-on-year rise of 32.8%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Vietnam has been making good use of advantages of the international economic integration process, helping to increase the country’s exports by 22% year-on-year and imports by 26% in the first quarter of 2021, said Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Agency of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
