VOV.VN - E-commerce giant Lazada has announced a strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea’s Gmarket, aiming to make more than 20 million Korean products available to consumers across Southeast Asia.

Starting July 1, e-marketplaces such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, and TikTok Shop will officially begin withholding and paying value-added tax (VAT) and personal income tax (PIT) on behalf of individual sellers using their platforms, as in accordance with the Government's Decree No. 117/2025/ND-CP.

Video shopping is emerging as a new trend, compelling sellers to adopt multi-channel strategies while enhancing key services such as express delivery, after-sales support and exclusive promotions.

A report by the e-commerce analytic platform Metric has shown that the total revenue of the five largest e-commerce platforms in Vietnam reached VND318.9 trillion (US$12.6 billion) in 2024, 37.4% higher than 2023.
