VOV.VN - Ericsson is ready to support Vietnam in developing telecommunications infrastructure and adopting new technologies, said Borje Ekholm, CEO of Sweden’s Ericsson Group during his meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Stockholm on June 13.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gave a reception in Hanoi on November 25 for Borje Ekholm, President and CEO of Ericsson who is paying a working visit to Vietnam.
The 5G services are projected to contribute 7.34% to Vietnam’s GDP growth in 2025, according to a research by the National Institute of Information and Communications Strategy.
Vietnam’s ICT market is expected to see a big 5G race in 2021 as international tech giants like Ericsson, Qualcomm, Lenovo, and Huawei look to boost partnerships with local telcos to gain more advantages, driven by strong performances in Vietnam in 2020.
